Robert Scott Russell is an award-winning professional and a
former Naples police officer with decades of professional experience. He’s a

Before becoming an Officer in Naples, Robert Scott Russell was
attending Florida State University and was employed at the Florida Department
of Law Enforcement. There, his compassion began to surface through his work.
“I worked with my Division Director, James Sewell, Ph.D., on projects to include the research drafting of an original Florida Statute which adopted the National Child Protection Act into Florida law,” he explained.

“This essentially made provisions for charging reduced background check fees for anyone who was working with children, the elderly and the handicapped. The reduces fees were in consideration that many of these individuals were working on a volunteer basis and that regular fees may impact volunteerism as a whole.”
