Robert Scott Russell Naples: Dedicated Service with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office

Robert Scott Russell of Naples served as a dedicated member of the Collier County Sheriff’s Office for more than 16 years. Recruited to work for the Office as a Police Officer with the City of Naples Police Department, Russell officially joined the Collier County team in 2001.

His service, which included fulfilling numerous positions, and which spanned across every area of jurisdiction covered by the department, came to an end in August of 2017 when new career opportunities presented themselves.

Over the course of his Collier County career, Robert Scott Russell served admirably in such roles as Detective, Patrol Deputy, Hostage Negotiator, Recruitment and Retention Team Member, and Domestic Security Liaison.

As part of the Collier County Sherriff’s Office, Robert Scott Russell of Naples served in the Patrol Division (eight years), was a Detective within the Criminal Investigations Division-Violent and Property Felony Crimes (eight years) and served as a Hostage Negotiator (eight years).

As Hostage Negotiator, Russell not only served as the department’s primary negotiator on numerous incidents but also experienced no injured victim or suspect as the result of his negotiations.
