Robert Scott Russell Naples: On FSU Schooling

Robert Scott Russell was a devoted member of the Collier County Sheriff’s Office for nearly two decades. Before then, he worked as a Naples police officer, and he’s passionate about all things law enforcement. He says he’s been passionate about working in law since he was in grade school, and he now works as an instructor with the Department of State Global Anti-Terrorism Assistance Program.

In 1996, Robert Scott Russell Naples earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Florida State University (FSU).

“While attending Florida State University in Tallahassee,” said Mr. Russell in a 2018 interview, “I became employed at the Florida Department of Law Enforcement as a Criminal Justice Information Technician, dealing with data involving the Florida Crime Information Center ensuring the entering of criminal history information was completed with the utmost integrity and accuracy. I also worked with my Division Director, James Sewell, Ph.D. on projects to include the research drafting of an original Florida Statute.”
